Description: http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/416733 PLEASE READ THIS. (UPDATE: SEcond half will either be out July 25, or December 25. It just depends.) On December 1st, 2007 I got the brilliant idea to do a 10 minute long animation involving a kid who only wants spider-powers for christmas, and I planned to have the whole thing done by December 22nd. Ok. Let's fast forward to about a week ago, December 17th or so. My computer breaks. Hard drive malfunction. Luckily I have a backup drive! But, a backup drive with a flash file is no good to someone who doesn't have flash. Or a computer for that matter. So on December 22nd I'm finally back in business, (ON MY MOM'S LAPTOP) but at a terrible time disadvantage. So, here it is. The first part of "I Want Spider-Powers For Christmas". I had to cut it in half not only because the file would be absolutely huge when completed, but because I don't want to be all stressed out about this during Christmas. Expect the exciting conclusion in a couple of weeks. I KNOW I'VE SAID THIS LIKE 4 OTHER TIMES ABOUT OTHER VIDEOS BUT I MEAN IT! HONESTLY! I really just wanted to relax for Christmas. When the whole thing is complete it'll be officially released here on youtube. ** AND HERE'S SOME FUN FACTS FOR ALL YOU KIDDIES: -This entire animation (writing the songs, recording the songs, writing the script, recording the lines, editing the sound files, recording sound effects, animation) was done between December 1st and December 24th by one 15 year old kid. -I did every voice in the movie. Including the backup vocals on all the songs. -Singing as Parker proved to be really difficult, resulting in at least 20 takes of the entire first song. (I still didn't even do it perfect.) -Singing as Dinker proved to be really difficult, resulting in me not giving a good god damn and just recording only 2 takes. -I didn't use any pitch changing for the voices. -All the snow sound effects were recorded by me using Cheerios in one of those paper things you put inside a coffee maker. I would just crush them and jiggle them accordingly. -Dr. Octogonapus from one of my youtube videos "The Lazer Collection" makes an appearance in Parker's bedroom. -All the names seen on Santa's list are Jim Carrey characters. (Fletcher Reede, Bruce Nolan, Stanley Ipkiss, ect.) -Parker's house is an exact replica of Stan Marsh's house in South Park. -The entire style of animation and songs were inspired by South Park. - Parker's room is based on my bedroom. -From the beginning of Santa's song to the end of Dinker's song was animated between December 22nd and December 24th. -The sounds of Santa slamming his desk were recorded by me with a cup full of clothespins. -The chorus for the Spider-Powers song and the "This Kid" song use the same set of chords. (in a different order.) -There's a picture of Colin Mochrie on Santa's desk at the end of his song. -Each song has at least one mistake in it that I made while recording them. (the instrumental stuff) -I'm not the greatest singer. -Santa's voice is based on The Monarch and Skeletor. -The songs were written and recorded before I even wrote the story. -I wrote the script for the movie in 35 minutes. -The frame by frame animation of the web shooting up at the ceiling is the shot I'm most proud of. Go ahead. Watch it frame by frame. It's gorgeous. ENJOY!
